The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, Nov. 11

City of Clayton

Report 15-2118: After entering Circle K on a routine business check an officer was advised by the clerk that a white male subject had just stolen a bottle of liquor and fled the store. The clerk showed the officer surveillance camera footage of the suspect. Police located the subject at a residence on Melody Road. Robert L. Clark, 53, of Clayton, was charged with theft and issued a written trespass warning not to return to Circle K. He was issued a court summons and released.

Thursday, Nov. 12

Clay Township

Report 15-2799-11: A resident in the 11000 block of Wengerlawn Road was contacted by a neighbor advising him to check his property as the neighbor stated his van had been stolen overnight. The resident went outside and found his two farm tractors with their hoods up. A battery was stolen from his Ford tractor and both tractors had the gas removed from their tanks.

Friday, Nov. 13

City of Clayton

Report 15-2128: An unknown black male entered the Shell True North, approached the counter and asked for a lottery printout. When the clerk’s back was turned he removed a tray containing 50 BIC lighters from the counter, hid them beneath his coat and left the store. The same subject did the same thing on Nov. 9. Both thefts occurred right after a delivery truck had arrived.

Clay Township

Report 15-2815-11: Jordan J. Bowman, 25, of Brookville, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, improper passing, possession of drug paraphernalia, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and two counts of endangering children. He registered at .163 percent on breath intoxilyzer test. Bowman was issued a court summons and released to a friend.

Monday, Nov. 16

City of Englewood

Report 15-063212: Olivia K. Greier, 27, of Clayton 45415, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. She was issued a court summons and released.

Report 15-063235: Three male juveniles were charged with theft at Wal-Mart. They were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.

Report 15-063264: Moranda G. Smith, 25, of New Madison, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated at the Villas of Englewood. She was issued a court summons and transported to Good Samaritan North Health Center for a medical evaluation. A male subject at the scene, James L. Reed, 25, of Englewood, was charged with criminal trespass, issued a court summons and released.

Clay Township

Report 15-2839-11: Police responded to 7400 block of Marilyn Joy on an overdose with the subject in full cardiac arrest. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment by Brookville EMS.

Report 15-2838-11: Police responded to National and Diamond Mill roads on the report of a vehicle in a ditch. Andrew D. Fisher, 23, of Red Key, IN, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and failure to control. His vehicle He was issued a court summons and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital on an overdose. His vehicle was towed away by Englewood Truck.

Tuesday, Nov. 17

Clay Township

Report 15-2843-11: Police responded to Englewood Truck on Jacks Lane on a stolen vehicle. An employee advised a male subject came to the business and stated he wanted to retrieve property from his vehicle. After confirming that he was the registered owner the employee allowed him to get the property from his vehicle. When the employee looked up the male was driving away in the vehicle. Andrew D. Fisher, 23, of Red Key, IN, was charged with theft and transported to the county jail.

Wednesday, Nov. 18

City of Clayton

Report 15-2167: Alexander James Omelia-Neal, 18, of Clayton, was charged with theft at United Dairy Farmers. He was transported to the county jail.

City of Englewood

Report 15-063700: Police responded to Wal-Mart on the report of a stolen vehicle taken by a known subject who was driving without the owner’s consent. The vehicle was found crashed into a tree on Orchard Avenue in Dayton. Charges are pending.

Thursday, Nov. 19

City of Clayton

Report 15-2174: Police responded to Shell True North on a drug overdose. Police found the subject locked in the bathroom. Brandon J. Powell, 31, of Greenville, was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments. Police obtained a DNA swab from Powell and transported him to the county jail.

City of Englewood

Report 15-063855: An unknown black female removed two Carhartt coats (pink and camo) from stock and ran out of the store without paying. She entered a gold Chevy Impala that fled northwest on State route 49.

Friday, Nov. 20

City of Clayton

Report 15-2187: Attempted breaking and entering to a workshop was reported on Barnes Road.

City of Englewood

Report 15-063968: Unknown subjects broke the window out of a work vehicle parked at the Clarion Inn and removed a Gopro camera.

Report 15-064049: A customer of Wal-Mart reported leaving $40 cash in the cash tray at a self-scan checkout. When she returned the money was gone. Surveillance footage showed a heavy set white male with bald head and beard remove the money and exit the store.

Report 15-064051: Failure to pay for 23 gallons of gas was reported at the Kroger gas station.

Sunday, Nov. 22

City of Englewood

Report 15-064422: Unknown subjects broke into a vehicle parked at the Clarion Inn and removed the stereo faceplate and also stole a welding helmet, a ratchet and socket set.

Report 15-064444: Joseph H. Hodapp, 25, of West Alexandria, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. He was transported to the county jail.
