The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Oct. 2

City of Union

Report 15-054036: Phillip A. Jackson, 23, of Dayton 45402, was charged with assault at the P&G Distribution Center. He fled the scene and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Sunday, Oct. 4

City of Union

Report 15-054471: Allen B. Jones, 34, of Dayton 45415, was charged with menacing at P&G. He was terminated from employment and trespassed from the property, issued a court summons and released.

Monday, Oct. 5

City of Union

Report 15-054614: Sharon A. Eley, 56, of Union, was charged with barking or howling dog. She was issued a court summons.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

City of Union

Report 15-054869: A 14-year-old male was charged with disrupting public service in the 500 block of Merrymaid Dr. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Center.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

City of Union

Report 15-055121: Amanda M. Henson, 27, of Union, was charged with aggravated menacing in the 100 block of S. Old Mill Rd. She was issued a court summons.

Report 15-055102: Unknown subjects scratched vulgarities into a bench and playground equipment in the Stoney Crest subdivision.

Thursday, Oct. 8

City of Union

Report 15-055274: Fraud was reported in the 300 block of Lutz Dr. A resident received a notice from the Social Security office stating that his father’s direct deposit Social Security check would be transferred to a different bank. The reporting party was not sure who had made changes to his fathers account.

Friday, Oct. 9

City of Union

Report 15-055518: Unknown subjects removed tools from an unlocked truck parked in a driveway in the 3300 block of Phillipsburg-Union Rd. Total loss was set at more than $1,000

Tuesday, Oct. 13

City of Union

Report 15-056344: Unknown subjects broke the opera window on the passenger side of a vehicle as well as damaging the rear door.

Report 15-056355: Robbery was reported in the 600 block of Martindale Rd. A female reported visiting her husband at his place of employment on Gettysburg in Dayton and believes she was followed home by an unknown black male. He assaulted her while she was getting her kids out of the car in the driveway and fled with her purse. The ale struck her with a rope causing her to let go of her purse and fall to the driveway and injured her arm.

City of Englewood

Report 15-062802: Diane J. Howard, 53, of Brookville, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. She was issued a court summons and released.

City of Union

Report 15-056525: A 14-year-old male was charged with being unruly on Merrymaid Dr. He was issued a court summons.

Thursday, Oct. 15

City of Union

Report 15-056825: Chase T. Coy, 19, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a court summons.

Monday, Oct. 19

City of Union

Report 15-057571: Fraud was reported in the 200 block of W. Martindale Rd. The victim advised an unknown subject had filed a tax return using his personal information.

Report 15-057635: A 14-year-old male was charged with domestic violence in the 500 block of Merrymaid Dr. He was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center.

Report 15-057613: The theft of a mens ring with diamonds valued at $3,000 was reported in the 400 block of Sheets St.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

City of Union

Report 15-057858: Unknown subjects set a corn field on fire in the 400 block of Rinehart Rd. The fire was set in a circular pattern and measured in excess of 26 feet.

Saturday, Oct. 24

City of Union

Report 15-058589: Police responded to the 100 block of Barnside on the report of a door to door solicitor. Upon arrival it was discovered the subject had a warrant. Eric Eugene Gibson, 39, of Dayton 45403, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation. He was transported to the county jail.

Monday, Oct. 26

City of Union

Report 15-059048: Chad W. Meeks, 30, of Brookville, was charged with assault on Vanessa Ct. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court.

Friday, Oct. 30

Clay Township

Report 15-2686-10: Police responded to a crash at Brookville-Salem Road and State Route 49 and discovered the driver that caused the crash was intoxicated. Brian D. Massie, 43, of Trotwood, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under financial responsibility act suspension and failure to yield. He registered at .256 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.

Sunday, Nov. 1

City of Union

Report 15-060169: A 15-year-old male and two 14-year-old males were charged with criminal damaging to a garage door in the the 100 block of Preakness Ct. The victim signed a refusal to prosecute form.

Clay Township

Report 15-2704-11: Police stopped a vehicle that failed to yield while turning west onto National Road from State Route 49. A southbound vehicle on 49 had to brake severely in order to avoid a collision. Upon making contact with the driver an odor of alcohol was detected. Denise R. McTeer, 51, of Lewisburg, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and failure to yield. She was issued a court summons and released to a relative.

Monday, Nov. 2

City of Union

Report 15-060398: Anthony L. Foster, 27, of Union, was arrested on an active Union warrant. He was transported to the Vandalia Police Department where he posted bail. He was transported back to Union and released.

Tuesday, Nov. 3

City of Union

Report 15-060568: The theft of mail was reported in the 100 block of Derby Ct.

Report 15-060530: Fraud was reported in the 100 block of Warner Dr. A family member reported that their father had passed away and they had noticed an unusual amount of activity to his bank account. Family members discovered that two new debit cards had been issued in their father’s name. Total loss to the bank account was $2,789.

Report 15-060560: Unknown subjects opened a delivery package left on a front porch in the 100 block of Vanessa Ct. and removed the contents.

Thursday, Nov. 5

City of Union

Report 15-060916: Beth A. Lunce, 35, of Union, was charged with dog running at large. She was issued a court summons.

Friday, Nov. 6

City of Clayton

Report 15-2083: Breaking and entering was reported at the Stillwater Center. A detached garage was broken into and the outside of the building spray painted or ‘tagged’ with the initials “SSK.” Several power tools and first aid supplies were stolen. Employees found some of the tools on the roof of the garage. Total loss was set at $3,650.

Sunday, Nov. 8

City of Union

Theft was reported in the 100 block of S. Main St. where unknown subjects ransacked an apartment and stole three pit bulls, their food, bowls and cages, a 60-inch Vizio TV, two PlayStation 3 systems and assorted games and equipment and a gaming laptop. Two of the dogs are 7-month-old Brindle pit bulls and a 7-week-old puppy. The case remains under investigation.

Clay Township

Report 15-2764-11: Douglas A. Severt, 46, of Sherwood, OH, was arrested on a warrant issued by West Milton Police for tax revenue. Severt was taken into custody and released to a West Milton police officer.

Report 15-2771-11: Joshua R. Wood, 29, of Springfield, was arrested by North Hampton Police on a warrant issued by Clay Township for failure to appear in court. Wood was taken into custody, released to a Clay Township officer and transported to the county jail.

Monday, Nov. 9

City of Englewood

Report 15-061693: Police responded to the Clarion Inn on the report of two females fighting in the bathroom and lobby. An officer arrived and found the females in the lobby fighting. Ebony M. Ward, 32, of Dayton 45417, and Cleopatra A. Richardson, 33, of Dayton 45417, were both charged with disorderly conduct – fighting. Ward and Richardson were both transported to the county jail. Upon arrival at the jail Richardson began complaining about having chest pains. She was issued a court summons and was transported to Grandview Hospital.

Report 15-061751: The theft of a portable fan force heater was reported at Samaritan Family Practice at Good Samaritan North Health Center.

Report 15-061814: The theft of a women’s 26-inch Mongoose Status bicycle from a front porch was reported in the 1000 block of Union Rd.

Tuesday, Nov. 10

City of Englewood

Report 15-062043: A resident of Cutlass Drive advised that his 11-year-old son had stolen money that was being stored in a pouch. The son admitted to stealing the money and admitted he had stolen money in the past. Theft charges were forwarded to Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

Thursday, Nov. 12

Clay Township

Report 15-2798-11: A 2001 Ford Econoline 100 van was reported stolen from the 11000 block of Wengerlawn Rd. The victim advised the vehicle was left unlocked and that her driver’s license was left in the center console at the time of the theft.

Friday, Nov. 13

City of Englewood

Report 15-062561: Unknown subjects dented the hood of a car parked in the street in the 1000 block of Windpointe Way.

Report 15-06266: Police responded to Kroger on the report of temporary protection order violation. Everett T. Scott, 62, of Clayton 45415, was charged with violating a protection order. He was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the county jail.

Saturday, Nov. 14

City of Englewood

Report 15-062748: Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed on Union Road traveling in excess of 80 miles per hour. After stopping the vehicle and approaching the driver an odor of alcohol was detected. The driver had a bloody knuckle on his right hand and his shirt was torn. The driver stated he had gotten into a fight at Cognacs, a club in Clayton off of Union Road. The driver stated he did not have his license on him. While running the driver’s information the officer heard radio traffic stating that Clayton Police were investigating a hit and run accident at Cognacs. A Clayton officer responded to the scene and issued the driver a citation. Englewood Police charged Dashawn E. Williamson, 29, of Dayton 45417, with driving under the influence, driving under suspension, speed – assured clear distance and left of center. Williamson was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Sunday, Nov. 15

Clay Township

Report 15-2833-11: Police responded to the 4600 block of Sulphur Springs Road to assist Perry Twp. Police on a domestic dispute. While attempting to take a female subject into custody she began resisting. An officer’s glasses fell off and landed next to the female’s knee. The female used her knee to crush the glasses and began cussing at the arresting officers. Amber D. Swink, 24, of Union City, was charged with assault and vandalism of property necessary for business. She was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.
