The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, Aug. 31

City of Union

Report 17-051598: The theft of a trailer was reported in the 7700 block of State Route 48. West Milton Police arrested two subjects in West Milton that were breaking into a home and using the trailer to load property onto. The victim responded to West Milton to take possession of his trailer.

Sunday, Sept. 3

City of Union

Report 17-052197: An unknown subject rummaged through a vehicle in the 100 block of Charles Place.

Friday, Sept. 8

City of Union

Report 17-053317: The theft of a cell phone was reported at the DHL section of Proctor & Gamble.

Wednesday, Sept. 13

City of Union

Report 17-054333: Police responded to the 100 block of S. Main St. on a subject threatening to stab his girlfriend with a knife. Daniel W. Gevat, 31, of Union, was charged with two counts of aggravated menacing and felony harassment by inmate for threatening officers. Gevat was transported to the county jail. As he was transported to jail he continuously yelled and banged his head on the police cruiser cage.

Thursday, Sept. 14

City of Union

Report 17-054742: A 16-year-old female was charged with being unruly on Westrock Farm Road. She was issued a court summons.

Friday, Sept. 15

City of Union

Report 17-055043: Matik R. Anderson, 27, of Dayton 45405, was arrested on a warrant for driving under OVI suspension, non-compliance suspension and expired tags. She was transported to the county jail.

Monday, Sept. 18

City of Englewood

Report 17-055516: James D. Altman, 37, of Englewood, was charged with playing loud music. He was issued a court summons.

Report 17-055630: Christopher T. Miller, 68, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft at Meijer and was also arrested on an active warrant out of Moraine for failure to appear on a traffic violation. He was transported to the county jail.

City of Union

Report 17-055558: The theft of a bike was reported in the 700 block of Beery Blvd.

Report 17-055692: The theft of a women’s 10-speed bike was reported at Union Terminal Apartments.

Report 17-055758: The theft of a cell phone from a purse was reported at Proctor & Gamble.

Tuesday, Sept. 19

City of Englewood

Report 17-055934: Police responded to the 300 block of Highland Drive on an overdose. Medics administered four doses of Narcan before the subject began to regain consciousness. The subject admitted to using three caps of heroin. Nathan L. Jarvis, 35, of Fairborn, was charged with disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated. He was issued a court summons and transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Wednesday, Sept. 20

City of Englewood

Report 17-056031: An officer spotted a vehicle in the Steak ‘n Shake drive thru with all of its lights off. The vehicle was listed as being stolen out of Moraine. After the vehicle pulled into the parking lot the officer approached and took the driver into custody. A used hypodermic needle was found in the center console. Charles F. Young, 30, at large, was charged with receiving stolen property, possessing drug abuse instruments, driving under suspension and was also arrested on a warrant out of Kettering. Moraine Police were notified that the stolen vehicle had been recovered. Young was transported to the county jail.

City of Union

Report 17-056060: Todd S. Mullins, 45, of Springfield, was arrested in Miami County on a warrant out of Union for failure to appear. Mullins was released to a Union officer and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Clay Township

Report 17-19630-09: A trailer was reported stolen from Brookville-Salem Road at Interstate 70. The victim parked the trailer by the side of the road after it caught fire. When he returned to pick it up the trailer was gone.

Thursday, Sept. 21

City of Union

Report 17-056374: Credit card fraud was reported by a resident of Beery Boulevard.

Friday, Sept. 22

City of Clayton

Report 17-1895: An officer observed two people sitting on the shoulder of Salem Pike and stopped to investigate. One of the subjects was found to be a wanted subject. Ronny Wilson, 42, of Clayton, was arrested on a warrant out of Miami County and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Englewood

Report 17-056670: Police responded to Walmart on two shoplifters arguing and no cooperating with store loss prevention personnel. A 16-year-old male from Trotwood was charged with theft and transported to the county juvenile detention center. Zaren T. Raglin, 18, of Dayton 45416, was also charged with theft and transported to the county jail.

Report 17-056724: Morgan N. Bailey-Smith, 25, of Trotwood, was charged with theft without consent at Meijer and transported to the county jail.

Saturday, Sept. 23

City of Englewood

Report 17-056787: Marissa F. Overholtz, 20, of Lewisburg, was charged with assault and transported to the county jail.

Report 17-056879: While on patrol an officer spotted a vehicle being driven by a wanted subject. Tina M. Brickles, 44, of Phillipsburg, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear issued by Eaton Municipal Court. She was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Report 17-056902: A customer at the Meijer fuel center laid down his cell phone on the outside counter and forgot to pick it up. The phone was stolen and traced online to a location in Springfield.

Report 17-056919: Thomas R. Jones, 50, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft without consent at Walmart and transported to the county jail.

City of Union

Report 17-056884: Police responded to the 100 block of Westrock Farm Road on a construction dumpster on fire. Residents observed two male juveniles walk past the dumpster before it caught fire. Both 14-year-olds were charged with arson and released to their parents.

Sunday, Sept. 24

City of Englewood

Report 17-057158: Kristofer T. St. Jules, 25, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft without consent at Meijer and was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County for contempt of court on an original charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. St. Jules was transported to the county jail.
