Northmont area police reports


The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, Aug. 28

City of Englewood

Report 17-050767: An officer observed a vehicle pull into the BP lot when the business was closed. The vehicle turned around, exited the lot and headed north on Main Street and then turned east on Wegner Road and north on Harrisburg Drive, and industrial area where all of the businesses were closed at the time. Two minutes later the vehicle emerged from the industrial area and proceeded to head north on Main Street. The officer ran the registration and found that the registered owner was under two suspensions. The officer observed the vehicle weaving within its lane of travel and initiated a traffic stop. A heavy odor of alcohol emanated from the vehicle. Shondla L. Donnelly, 47, of Englewood, was charged with driving while under the influence, refusal of a breath test, driving under non-compliance suspension and violating the city’s weaving/full time attention ordinance. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-050870: David A Mickley, 29, of Delaware, Ohio, was charged with theft without consent at Walmart and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Tuesday, Aug. 29

City of Clayton

Report 17-1700: Police responded to the 7900 block of Melody Rd. on the report of a protection order violation. Jason. J. Alderman, 29, of Clayton, was charged with violating a protection order and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Englewood

Report 17-051129: Channa L. Benton, 19, of Dayton 45405, was charged with theft without consent at Walmart and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. A 17-year-old female was also charged and transported to the juvenile justice center.

Wednesday, Aug. 30

City of Clayton

Report 17-1707: Zakkery U. Miller, 26, of Clayton, was charged with assault after slapping his live-in girlfriend. Miller was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-1710: The theft of a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle equipped with two after-market black saddle bags was reported at the Stoneridge Apartments.

Report 17-1716: An officer on patrol observed a vehicle heading south on Main Street without a working rear license plate light. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle the officer detected the odor of raw marijuana coming out of the open driver’s window. The driver was found to under a 12 point suspension. Two pipes used for smoking marijuana were located in the center console cup holders. A digital scale was found in the glove box and a plastic bag of marijuana was found in the driver’s purse. Dehja E. Moore, 20, of Harrison Twp., was charged with driving under 12 point suspension, illumination of license plate required, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. Moore was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Englewood

Report 17-051215: Mary A. Cranford, 55, of Dayton 45402, was charged with theft without consent at Meijer and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-051341: Tracy K. Winfield, 35, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft without consent, resisting arrest and possessing drug abuse instruments at Meijer. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-051399: The theft of a set of King Cobra golf clubs in a black golf bag from an open garage was reported in the 300 block of Glenmary Dr.

Report 17-051552: Unknown subjects broke the window on a vehicle parked in the Hampton Inn lot.

Thursday, Aug. 31

City of Clayton

Report 17-1727: Police responded to the 5300 block of Hillgrove Ave. in reference to a disturbance involving a white male and white female arguing with each other. Upon arrival police located the male in an upstairs bedroom lying in bed. He was a wanted subject. Chad A. Baker, 29, of Clayton, was arrested on a Clayton warrant and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Englewood

Report 17-051636: Gary Nobles, 62, of Dayton 45417 and Rhea D. Byrd, 35, also of Dayton 45417, were both charged with theft without consent at Walmart and were both transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-051670: Da’Sika S. Shovosity, 19, of Dayton 45405, was charged with theft at Walmart and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. A 17-year-old female was also charged and transported to the juvenile justice center.

Report 17-051674: The theft of a gold watch with a FedEx emblem on the faceplate and a gold ring with FedEx engraved on top was reported stolen from a bedroom in the 4300 block of Gorman Ave.

Friday, Sept. 1

Clay Township

Report 17-19434-09: A home health care nurse reported that one of her clients was possibly being poisoned by her husband. Police made contact with the potential victim who stated she didn’t feel her husband would do something of that nature. She said she felt fine, hasn’t felt sick but stated she would go to the doctor for bloodwork for her own piece of mind.

Saturday, Sept. 2

City of Englewood

Report 17-051996: Jessie Renee Litton, 23, of Dayton 45414, was charged with public indecency – exposure after she pumped gas into her car while topless at Speedway. She was issued a court summons and released.

Report 17-052134: James D. Altman, 37, of Englewood, was charged with playing loud music. He was issued a court summons.

Sunday, Sept. 3

City of Englewood

Report 17-052277: Police responded to the 200 block of Porte Drive on the report of a drug overdose with the victim turning purple from taking suspected heroin. A subject at the residence advised that she had already administered two doses of Narcan prior to police arriving. The victim regained consciousness a few minutes later. Elmer R. Layman, 30, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated and was issued a court summons.

Report 17-052285: Eric D. Hatmaker, 23, of Vandalia, was charged with domestic violence and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-052294: Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Northcreek on the report a disorderly daughter breaking things in a house due to being mad. Nicole A. Brooks, 25, of Englewood, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Clay Township

Report 17-19445-09: Police pulled a vehicle over due to the registered owner being listed as a wanted subject. Justin M. Miller, 23, of Brookville, was arrested on a warrant out of Miami County for failure to appear. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
