The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, Feb. 16

Clay Township

Report 17-689-02: Police stopped a vehicle being driven by a wanted subject. Brittany N. Delehanty, 28, of Verona, was arrested on an active warrant. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Monday, Feb. 20

City of Englewood

Report 17-010252: Michael D. Rountree, 26, of Dayton 45406, was charged with driving while under the influence, speeding, marked lanes, and drug abuse (marijuana). He was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

City of Englewood

Report 17-010566: Police responded to the Miami Valley Career Technology Center on the report of a student in possession of marijuana. David Harris, 18, of Trotwood, was charged with possession of marijuana, issued a court summons and released.

Report 17-010571: Jessica Carter, 30, of Englewood, was charged with criminal trespass at Motel 6. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-010646: While traveling north on Union Road an officer saw several cars stopping in the middle of the road due to a brown dog running loose in the roadway. Lynetta M. Kohilawatta, 31, of Englewood, was charged with control of dogs and was issued a criminal warning for not having the dog registered with a current dog license. She was issued a court summons.

Wednesday, Feb. 22

City of Clayton

Report 17-372: Police responded to the 6600 block of Templehurst on the report of felony theft. The victim stated that his step-son had stolen his 2006 Dodge SRX, his 50-inch Sanyo TV and $4,000 cash from his bank account. The victim said he later learned that his step-son had sold the vehicle and TV to a drug dealer in Dayton. The case was forwarded to the detective section for follow-up investigation.

City of Englewood

Report 17-010891: An unknown subject stole a gold iPhone 5-S from an unlocked locker at the Kleptz YMCA.

Thursday, Feb. 23

City of Clayton

Report 17-377: An unknown subject entered four unlocked vehicles parked in a driveway on Pineland Trail and removed an undetermined amount of cash. The victim was not sure if any other items were removed.

Report 17-378: Unknown subjects entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7800 block of Harrington Avenue and an unlocked vehicle parked in the 400 block of Moorewood Circle and removed change from both vehicles.

Report 17-379: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of W. Greenview Drive and removed $10 cash from a purse left on the front passenger seat. No other items in the vehicle were disturbed.

Report 17-380: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle on Harrington Avenue and used the trunk release to access the trunk and removed a Pioneer amplifier5 and Pioneer sub-woofer.

Report 17-381: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Moorewood Circle and removed several tools with a total estimated value of $1,000.

Report 17-382: An unknown subject opened an unlocked truck tailgate and removed a Craftsman socket set, a Craftsman 3-ton floor jack, a set of Craftsman jack stands and pair of new Red Wing boots. During the theft the truck’s right taillight was also broken. Total estimated loss and damage was set at $695.

Report 17-384: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7800 block of Harrington Avenue and ransacked the interior. Nothing was taken but the victim requested the incident documented by police.

Report 17-385: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Moorewood Circle, ransacked the interior and removed $140 cash from the center console.

City of Englewood

Report 17-010926: Police responded to Walmart on the report of a fleeing shoplifter. The subject entered a red car and was getting onto eastbound Interstate 70. An officer spotted the car and pulled it over near the 28 mile marker. Police located two needles inside one of the driver’s socks along with some cotton. He admitted to being a heroin addict and stated he had last used the drug a few hours ago. James A. Hall, 36, of Findlay, was charged with theft and was arrested on an active warrant. Hall was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-011112: Shawntae N. Richardson, 27, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft at Meijer. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 17-011139: Quinn Lane, 23, of Dayton 45416, was charged with theft at Meijer and Kayla S. Fair, 24, of Trotwood, was charged with complicity. Lane also had a warrant for failure to appear but since she had small child with her was not taken into custody. She was issued a court summons and released. Fair was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Friday, Feb. 24

City of Clayton

Report 17-395: An officer on patrol spotted a vehicle eastbound on Westbrook Road with an expired license plate. A traffic stop was made and the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer asked the driver and her passenger if there was marijuana in the vehicle and both stated, “No.” The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle and placed in the police cruiser. The passenger was then asked to step out and the officer detected marijuana coming from her body. She stated that they had smoked a “blunt” earlier. The officer asked her to open her purse and inside the officer could see a partially smoked blunt. She was placed in the back of a Butler Twp. cruiser that arrived to assist. During a further search of the purse a small plastic bag containing marijuana was found. Nothing was found inside the vehicle. The passenger, Rodaysha L. Norvell, 23, of Jefferson Twp., was charged with possession of marijuana. She was issued a court summons and released.

Saturday, Feb. 25

City of Englewood

Report 17-011502: Police responded to the 900 block of Englewood Drive on a criminal damaging complaint. According to the property owner, unknown subjects broke a rear basement window on his rental property sometime during the past week.

Report 17-011557: An officer parked along N. Main Street observed a vehicle pass by with a cracked windshield obstructing the driver’s view. The driver was also observed drinking from a large beer bottle. Steven M. Williams, 58, of West Milton, was charged with having an open container on a motor vehicle and consumption in a motor vehicle. He was issued a court summons and released after passing a field sobriety test.

Tuesday, Feb. 28

City of Clayton

Report 17-430: Steven A. Jackson II, 44, of Miamisburg, was arrested on a warrant out of Greene County. Jackson was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail.
