The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Oct. 28

Clay Township

Report 16-2981-10: The theft of a 1994 Suzuki Katana was reported by a victim who came to the Clay Township offices to file a report. The victim said he had taken his motorcycle to an individual on Hirsch Road to have repairs made approximately six months ago but the business owner has not returned any phone calls. At the time of this report police had attempted to contact the business owner without success as he has since closed his business.

Monday, Oct. 31

City of Englewood

Report 16-060832: Police responded to Subway on the report of an unconscious subject in a vehicle who was known to be a recovering drug addict. An officer approached the vehicle, checked for and found a strong pulse and began to give sternum rubs in an attempt to wake the subject. A medic crew arrived and administered two doses of Narcan through the subject’s nose. A few moments later the subject awoke and was transported to Good Samaritan North Emergency Center. The subject had a warrant for her arrest for failure to appear but due to her medical condition the warrant was not served. London. Kilgore, 42, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and issued a court summons.

Report 16-060875: A 1994 Chevrolet Blazer was reported stolen in the 400 block of E. Wenger Rd. Police later found the vehicle parked in front of room 335 at the Englewood Inn. The owner came and picked the vehicle up.

Report 16-060966: Unknown subjects entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of E. Wenger Road and removed an air compressor, a push lawn mower and a toolbox containing miscellaneous tools. There was no damage to the vehicle and no idea of suspects. The home is immediately adjacent to the Englewood Inn and tires marks were observed in the grassy area between the complainant’s property and the motel.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

City of Clayton

Report 16-2561: After stopping a vehicle for speeding the passenger was discovered to be a wanted subject. Chad E. Colwell, 30, of Miami Township, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated drug possession/robbery. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-2562: Theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 5100 block of Savina Ave. The victims stated they were sitting inside their house when they heard their dogs begin to bark around 9 p.m. They looked outside and observed a male subject walking east on Savina past their work truck. The male was described as wearing a striped white and gray hoodie. The male resident walked outside to check his truck and discovered one of the toolboxes on the driver’s side was opened and another had been tampered with. Nothing was missing from either toolbox. The driver’s door handle assembly had been pried open allowing entry to the cab of the vehicle. The cab was in disarray and appeared to have been rifled through. The only item discovered missing was an Apple iPhone 6 with a black Otter Box protective case.

Report 16-2563: Theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Hilltop Drive. A pickup parked in a driveway was entered and a 12-volt Bosch drill in a black canvas bag was removed from the back seat of the truck and a black leather Harley Davidson wallet containing a Standard Register Credit Union debit/credit card, an American Express card, an Ohio driver’s license, a Standard Register bank ID, an Anthem Health Insurance card and a State Farm Auto Insurance card was taken from the center console.

City of Englewood

Report 16-060967: A 17-year-old male was charged with the misuse of a credit card for making unauthorized charges on his mother’s credit card. Charges were forwarded to juvenile court.

16-060982: Unknown subjects removed the right front center hubcap from a vehicle parked in a driveway on Windpointe Way.

Thursday, Nov. 3

City of Englewood

Report 16-061459: Chanata Shree Sweetpea Hunter, 34, of Dayton 45403, was charged with theft at Walmart and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Marcquietta Ladedra Renee Hunter, also of Dayton 45403, was also charged with theft, issued a court summons and released.

Friday, Nov. 4

City of Clayton

Report 16-2585: During a multi-agency traffic sweep two Clayton officers on patrol on State Route 725 in Miamisburg observed a pickup truck traveling east on 725 make a lane change without signaling properly. After running the registration the owner was found to be under suspension. A traffic stop was initiated at Byers Road and three occupants were observed reaching around inside the vehicle. A Huber Heights officer responded with his K9. The driver refused to give consent to search the vehicle. The K9 performed a free air sniff and the occupants agreed to step out of the vehicle. A male passenger retrieved a lunch box from the truck and stated that he had marijuana inside a prescription bottle in the lunch box. A Clayton officer took possession of the bottle and a pipe wrapped in a paper towel. The driver removed his dog from the vehicle and was asked if he had anything in the vehicle officers should know about. He stated he had an unloaded pistol between his seat and the center console. When asked if he had a concealed carry permit he stated that he did not. The gun was in a holster which contained a speed loader containing live rounds of ammunition. Michael D. Propst, 50, of Springfield, was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, turn signals and driving under suspension. He was turned over to Miamisburg Police. Propst’s vehicle also had an order to confiscate the license plates on behalf of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. His vehicle was towed. A passenger, Derek David, 53, of Springfield, was charged with possession of marijuana.

Saturday, Nov. 5

City of Englewood

Report 16-061795: Julia A. Jackson, 53, of Englewood, was charged with theft at Meijer. She was issued a court summons and released.

Report 16-061799: Daniel L. Shively, 31, of Clayton, was charged with making false alarms after calling 911 advising a black male with a gun was yelling at him and his roommate for having a Trump sign in the yard. The black male did admit to confronting Shively about the Trump sign but there were no threats or violence and there was never a gun involved. Shively admitted to telling dispatch the subject had a gun knowing police would respond quicker if a gun was reported. Shively was issued a court summons.

16-061835: Zachary R. Weikert, 32, of Englewood, was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Sunday, Nov. 6

City of Englewood

Report 16-061879: Roland E. Speer, 61, at large, was charged with theft at Walmart and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-061902: A 17-year-old male was charged with theft at Walmart. He was released to a parent. Charges were forwarded to juvenile court.

Report 16-061967: Unknown subjects smashed the right rear passenger window on a vehicle parked at El Toro and removed two pairs of shoes from the back passenger seat.
