Police reports from Northmont area law enforcement agencies

The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, June 24

City of Clayton

Report 16-1431: Paul J. Smith, 27, of Eaton, was charged with six counts of driving under suspension including child support suspension and non-compliance suspension. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Wednesday, June 29

City of Clayton

Report 16-1474: Police pulled a vehicle over on N. Main Street for having a loud exhaust. The officer recognized the driver and knew he had a past history of drug abuse. A second officer was requested for back up as well as a K9 unit to detect drugs. Dayton Officer Cleaver and K9 Phantom arrived. Phantom alerted to the front grill area and passenger door. While searching the engine compartment police found a hypodermic syringe, two empty gel capsules and one gel capsule containing heroin concealed inside the fuse box. Jeremy A. Hamlin, 32, of Clayton, was charged with possession of drugs, possessing drug abuse instruments and loud exhaust. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-1477: Breaking and entering to a locked storage shed was reported in the 6300 block of Taywood Rd. A lawn mower, bicycle, chain saw and gas can were stolen.

Report 16-1478: Breaking and entering to a second storage shed was reported in the 6300 block of Taywood Rd. A weed trimmer, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, spa pump, gas grill tank and an air compressor was stolen.

Thursday, June 30

City of Clayton

Report 16-1486: A past burglary was reported on Enesco Court. The victim stated that while his family was on vacation during the second week of January and unknown subject entered his home and removed two iPad Minis, two iPad mini cases and approximately $175 cash. There was no forced entry to the residence.

Report 16-1494: Three officers responded to United Dairy Farmers on a theft complaint with three suspects getting into an older green sedan. Christopher M. Haynes, 23, of Celina, was arrested on an active felony warrant out of Celina. Jordan M. Haynes, 24, of Celina, was charged with theft and possession of heroin. Both were taken to the Clayton Police Department where a DNA sample was collected from Jordan Haynes. Afterward both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Clay Township

Report 16-1786-06: Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by a wanted subject. Mindy L. Miller, 33, of Lewisburg, was arrested on an active warrant issued by Oakwood Police. Miller was taken into custody, transported to the intersection of West Third Street and State Route 49 and released to an Oakwood officer.

Friday, July 1

City of Clayton

Report 16-1499: Unknown subjects broke the lock off a storage shed in the 4400 block of Linchmere Dr. and removed a leaf blower, gas powered edger, and a weed whacker with a total combined value of $550. Police located a pawn receipt from All Star Pawn LLC with a suspect’s name on it approximately 20 feet away from the shed.

Sunday, July 3

City of Union

Report 16-037645: Sean M. Sain, 24, of Huber Heights, was charged with violating a protecting order. He was taken into custody by Huber Heights Police, released to a Union officer and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-037715: Sean M. Sain, 24, of Huber Heights, was charged with a second count of violating a protection order after calling his ex-girlfriend from jail.

Clay Township

Report 16-1829-07: Korey A. Hawthorne, 19, of Dayton 45414, was charged with underage possession of alcohol and speeding. He was issued a court summons and released.

Tuesday, July 5

City of Clayton

Report 16-1540: Unknown subjects let the air out of all four tires on a work van registered to Time Warner Cable that was parked at an apartment on Woolery Lane.

Report 16-1541: Safecracking was reported at Plaza Car Wash on N. Main Street. An unknown white male wearing a black coat, blue jeans and tan shoes pulled into the lot in a blue Chevy Silverado at 4:50 a.m. and backed into a vending machine. Approximately $40 in cash was removed from the machine, which was damaged beyond repair. The suspect also attempted to break into a change machine but only damaged it. A 2001 Chevy Silverado was reported stolen out of Harrison Township on July 2. The license plate matched that of the suspect’s vehicle at Plaza Car Wash.

Report 16-1542: Police responded to the 6700 block of Morrow Drive on the report of breaking and entering to a storage shed. While taking the report a neighbor advised police that he had observed a white male wearing a T-shirt and jeans pulling a wagon full of items at the corner of Morrow Drive and Old Salem Road. After a short search police located the suspect and took him into custody. Matthew R. Wilhelm, 31, of West Alexandria, was charged with breaking and entering, possessing criminal tools and obstructing official business. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-1544: Burglary was reported in the 6000 block of Garber Road. A 17-year-old female stated two black men knocked on the front door and when she answered they asked to see her brother. She stated when she went to look for her brother the two men let themselves in. They asked for a paper towel because they were sweating and when she turned around there was a gun sticking in her face. She stated both men were holding black handguns. They took her cell phone and forced her and her 13-year-old brother into the basement towards her other brother’s bedroom. The men tore apart the bedroom and took a small bag of marijuana off the bed. The suspects made the two juveniles lie down while they searched the rest of the basement. The two suspects then ran out of the residence and fled south. The cell phone taken from the female was later tracked using a locator app to the intersection of Westbrook Road and Janice Place where the phone was found in the middle of the intersection by Trotwood Police. The cell phone was sent to the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab for DNA testing. The case is being investigated by Clayton detectives.

City of Englewood

Report 16-037941: Jessica S. Lucas, 24, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct after overdosing on an unknown liquid consumed at a party in Huber Heights and passing out. She was treated by Englewood Medics but never regained consciousness. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment. Charges were forward to Vandalia Municipal Court.

Report 16-038077: Police responded to Meijer on the report of a theft in progress. Two white males fled the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise and ran to a late model white station wagon parked near Panera Bread. The males dumped the cart of merchandise before getting into the vehicle, which was driven by a white female. The vehicle fled south on State Route 48. The total amount of the recovered merchandise was $463.21 prior to sales tax.

City of Union

Report 16-038082: Unknown subjects entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Phelps Farm Circle and removed $60 cash from the ash tray.

Report 16-037984: Denise N. Henton, 39, at large, was charged with passing bad checks at Union Tire. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

Wednesday, July 6

City of Clayton

Report 16-1551: Unknown subjects shattered the rear windshield on a vehicle parked in the 4200 of Honeybrook Ave. A golf ball appeared to have been used and was found lying on the rear floorboard.

City of Englewood

Report 16-038110: Police observed a vehicle displaying a dealer tag parked in the street in the 200 block of Downing Place. The vehicle pulled away from the curb quickly and turned left on Heather Street. The vehicle pulled into a driveway and drove to the rear of some townhouses. An officer entered the parking lot and saw the vehicle parked with its windows down. The officer approached and found a female subject in the driver’s seat with the seat laid back. The female was evasive during questioning and provided false information about her identity. Police eventually identified the female. Miranda M. Jones, 32, at large, was arrested on a felony warrant and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. At the jail it was discovered that Jones had a hypodermic syringe hidden under the front of her bra. She was also charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.

Report 06-038141: Police responded to Wal-Mart on a past theft by an employee. Gwendolyn L. Brown, 62, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft, terminated from employment and was issued a court summons.

Report 16-038218: Kenneth C. Reeves, 18, of Clayton, was charged with menacing after posting threats on Twitter directed towards another subject. Reeves was issued a court summons.

Thursday, July 7

City of Englewood

Report 16-038407: Mitchell K. Didier, 21, of Versailles, was charged with failure to comply with order of a police officer, possessing drug abuse instruments (syringe) and driving while under the influence. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Didier was driving erratically and an officer tried to get him to pull over on Hoke Road north of Wenger Road. Didier eventually came to a stop on Haber Road just south of Sweet Potato Ridge Road.

Friday, July 8

City of Englewood

Report 16-038520: Michael S. Kirby, 41, of Union, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after being found passed out in a restroom stall at Meijer. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

16-038618: Ralph Bradley, 63, of Trotwood, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. He was issued a court summons and released.

16-038650: A 16-year-old female was charged with theft after stealing her aunt’s cell phone. She was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center.

16-038701: Todd M. Weisgarber, 50, of Dayton 45420, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after police responded to the 9300 block of N. Main Street on the report of a subject lying in the roadway bleeding. Weisgarber was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment and issued a court summons.

Saturday, July 9

City of Englewood

Report 16-038917: Ashley A. Fields, 25, of Huber Heights, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

City of Union

Report 16-038945: Adam W. Packard, 29, at large, was charged with aggravated menacing and assault after police responded to a fight in progress in the 100 block of N. Montgomery St. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Sunday, July 10

City of Englewood

Report 16-039070: Jennifer M. Beam, 22, of Phillipsburg, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. She was issued a court summons and released.

Monday, July 11

City of Union

Report 16-039296: Robert G. Deeter, 56, of Dayton 45414, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Report 16-039321: Jonathan N. Evans, 26, of Dayton 45414, was arrested on two warrants for driving under suspension and failure to appear. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
