Police reports from Northmont area law enforcement agencies

The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, March 24

City of Clayton

Report 16-639: Kristopher B. Chestnut, 34, of Englewood, was arrested on a warrant issued by Clayton Police and transported to the county jail.

Friday, March 25

City of Union

Report 16-017716: A red Jeep Cherokee occupied by a white male, white female and black male pulled into the parking lot of Parkgrove Park where four juveniles were playing basketball. The black male exited the Jeep and took a book bag containing two sets of Nike shoes, got back into the Jeep and fled the area.

Monday, March 28

City of Union

Report 16-018217: Danny L. Unsworth, 52, at large, was charged with theft, safecracking and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at Trish’s Café. He turned himself in and was transported to the county jail.

Tuesday, March 29

City of Clayton

Report 16-672: Breaking and entering to a garage and a tool trailer was reported in the 7000 block of Wastler Road. Tools valued at more than $10,000 were removed from the garage and trailer.

Report 16-682: A nurse on duty at the Stillwater Center reported that an unknown subject had removed her Apple iPhone 5S from a nurse’s cart. She reported leaving the phone on the cart after calling her daughter to inform her that she would be working a double shift. She walked into a room to give another nurse a report and when she returned to the cart the phone was missing.

Report 16-673: Corey J. Shores, 21, of Clayton 45415, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Kentucky State Police for aggravated vehicular homicide. He was transported to the county jail.

Report 16-676. Jessica L. Smith, 32, of Greenville, was charged with theft and possessing drug abuse instruments (hypodermic syringe) at United Dairy Farmers. She was also issued a written trespass warning at the request of the business. She was transported to the county jail.

City of Englewood

Report 16-018497: The theft of a pack of USA Gold cigarettes was reported at Speedway.

Report 16-018539: Unknown subjects broke the left rear window on a vehicle parked in the lot of Jake Grossnickle Memorial Park and removed a bowling ball in a black bag (with handle) and a pair of bowling shoes.

Report 16-018549: Rhea D. Byrd, 33, at large, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated at Meijer. She was transported to the county jail.

Wednesday, March 30

City of Englewood

Report 16-018729: Duane E. Taylor, 42, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct offensive language and disorderly conduct by hindering or preventing the movement of a city employee on a public street. He was issued a court summons.

Thursday, March 31

City of Clayton

Report 16-694: Nicholas P. Ferguson, 23, of Clayton 45415, was arrested on a warrant issued by Moraine Mayor’s Court and transported to the county jail.

City of Englewood

Report 16-018965: Ronald A. Pallanta, 46, of Dayton 45414, was charged with theft at Meijer. He was issued a court summons.

Report 16-018985: Todd M. Dillon, 47, of Clayton 45415, was charged with theft at Wal-Mart. He was transported to the county jail.

Report 16-019009: A 16-year-old male was charged with theft at Meijer. Charges were forwarded to Montgomery County Juvenile Court.

City of Union

Report 16-018850: The unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at Proctor & Gamble. The victim signed a refusal to prosecute form.

Report 16-018973: Criminal damaging to a mailbox was reported on Erika Court.

Friday, April 1

City of Clayton

Report 16-705: Stephen C. Peterman Barton, 25, of Harrison Twp., was charged with mishandling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and two headlights required. He was transported to the county jail.

Report 16-672: Dispatch advised that the victim of a recent breaking and entering was following a suspect vehicle involved in the crime on Union Road in Trotwood. A Clayton officer began heading south on Union Road and requested assistance from Trotwood Police. A Perry Twp. officer advised that the vehicles were traveling north on Snyder Road near Old Dayton Road. The suspect vehicle fled east on Post Town Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle stopped at Post Town and Union roads where the driver waved to Perry Twp. Sgt. Wortman. Wortman ordered the driver out of the vehicle and onto the ground. Police found several cases of tools in the trunk of the suspect’s vehicle. The victim positively identified some of the tools as belonging to him. Kenneth E. Christman, 53, of Dayton 45417, was charged with breaking and entering and transported to the county jail.

City of Englewood

Report 16-019208: Unknown subjects removed items from an unlocked vehicle after the owner loaded it and went to eat breakfast. After traveling to Illinois she noticed her checkbook and insurance papers were missing from a travel bag that was in the backseat.

Report 16-019269: Sidney R. Clayman, 22, of New Paris, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated on an unknown drug at Wendy’s on Hoke Road. He was transported to the county jail.

Report 16-019303: Jeremy Musselman, 33, of Union, was charged with violating a protection order. He was transported to the county jail.

Saturday, April 2

City of Englewood

Report 16-019332: Tracie V. Harris, 36, of Dayton 45406, was charged with driving while under the influence and state driving under the influence (prior conviction in 2015), and was arrested on two warrants; one issued by Huber Heights Police for failure to appear for a probation revocation hearing and a second warrant issued by Dayton Police for failure to appear on a driving under suspension charge. She was transported to the county jail.

Report 16-019372: John M. Ward, 44, of Brookville, was charged with disorderly conduct after being found on the floor of a hotel room at the Red Carpet Inn gasping for air and unresponsive with a belt around the upper part of his right arm. Englewood Medics were able to revive Ward by the use of Narcan and transported him to Good Sam North. Ward was issued a court summons.

Report 16-019399: A Toro lawn mower was removed from an open garage in the 7000 block of Park Vista Road. The resident stated that the door was left open most of the day on April 1 with the mower stored just inside the door.

Report 16-019408: Kristy N. Ginter, 35, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct after overdosing on heroin at the Villas of Englewood. She was transported to the hospital for treatment and issued a court summons.

City of Union

Report 16-019328: Don E. Fligor, 45, of Union, was charged with public indecency after urinating on the side of a residence in the 300 block of Hollycrest. He was transported to the county jail.

Sunday, April 3

City of Union

Report 16-019589: Identity fraud was reported in the 100 block of S. Main St. The victim advised that someone had used his personal information to open a credit card account without his consent.
